Owners of Jefferson Co. business start GoFundMe to assist surviving victim of fatal crash

The owners of a Jefferson County ice cream shop have created a GoFundMe to assist the surviving victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in front of their business last year.

The owners of the Brookville Frosty Freeze say they want to help the victim, Penny Conser, after she "lost everything," including one of her legs.

Authorities say the woman was seriously injured last July when the motorcycle she was riding on was struck by another vehicle along Route 36 in Rose Township.

A nurse who was patronizing the Frosty Freeze "jumped into action" to provide life-saving measures to the female rider.

The owners also noted that they will be hosting a car show fundraiser next weekend, August 7, to benefit Penny and help cover any medical expenses and home renovations that she may need.
