The Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County strives to commit to that vow by sharing the story of Flight 93 with people from all over the world. Asked what she wants for Christmas, one girl said Pokémon cards and another saying a Kindle. It's a time of year everyone looks forward to.
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KBOI) — Six people are dead and nine others are hurt following a deadly automotive crash in Idaho Falls. The crash happened Saturday at 5:29 a.m. local time, on US 20 at milepost 308 in Idaho Falls in Bonneville County. Idaho State Police says a Ram pickup was eastbound on US20 near the Lindsay Boulevard exit in Idaho Falls when it was driven left of center and collided with a westbound Chevrolet passenger van.
CASTLETON, Vt. (TND) — Max, a friendly feline that lives in the neighborhood around Vermont State University’s Castleton campus, can add another title to his resume on top of "good cat" and "soft kitty": doctor. The tabby tuxedo cat, who lives with a family on the street that leads to campus, was given the honorary degree of "doctor of litter-ature" ahead of the main, human student body graduation Saturday. University officials said Max was receiving the degree for his notable friendliness and the rapport he has built up with the entire campus, from students to faculty and staff, over the last four years.
Bedford Co., PA (WJAC) — State police say a Bedford County man faces a laundry list of charges, including attempted homicide, after shooting at an occupied vehicle, while high on methamphetamine, because he believed that the occupants were trying to kill him, according to a criminal complaint. Troopers say Steven Geisler, 30, faces two counts each of attempted homicide, felony aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment, as well as charges of DUI, criminal mischief and cruelty to animals, according to online court documents.

SNYDER TOWNSHIP – A Blair County man is facing multiple charges after police say he threatened to light himself and his camper on fire, while also attempting to pour gasoline on state troopers. Jason Morrissey, 37, of Tyrone, is facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal attempt/arson, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. According to a police report, Morrissey engaged in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend at their residence at 808 Belmont Ave.
Pittsburgh, Pa (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers are parting ways with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, according to a team release. "Change is a part of our business," said head coach Mike Tomlin during his press conference. "I'll acknowledge the possibility for that. We are just beginning the process of having those types of meaty discussions that usually produce changes or non-changes. It is that time of year. I anticipate those discussions happening and happening rather soon as we plot a course to move forward.
SCHELLSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — The Pennsylvania Lumberjack Championship and Outdoor Show closed out its three-day tournament Sunday, bringing thousands to Bedford County throughout the weekend. Lumberjacking isn't easy to perfect. But to win these competitions, you got to have the chops. "This is definitely one of the top competitions to go to in the United States at the moment," said professional timber sport athlete Matthew Cogar. In its seventh year, Bedford County native and organizer Zach Brouse told 6 News the lumberjack championship had 51 competitors, with ESPN-caliber athletes.
