After welcoming two baby groundhogs in March, Punxsutawney Phil and wife, Phyllis, have announced the names of their children Sunday morning. In an Instagram post by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, members of the Inner Circle gathered to announce the names of the boy and girl groundhogs. Inner Circle members said in the post that they wanted to thank the community for their input and support in giving name suggestions for the pups.

INDIANA, Pa. – Indiana Borough police and state police in Indiana are investigating a shooting that occurred around 9:25 p.m. Friday at a private home on the 00 block of North 15th Street. Police said an 18-year-old man was shot one time and is currently being treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for a wound to the upper right chest area. Jacob Robert Kelly, 19, of Indiana, has been charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, officials said.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Johnstown police say a local man is behind bars following an investigation into accusations that he repeatedly raped a young girl for several years. Police say in December, officers interviewed the victim, who stated that she had been sexually assaulted by 49-year-old Bryan Miller. According to the affidavit, police say the victim told officers that the alleged sexual abuse began sometime when she was between the ages of 6 and 8, and ended when she was approximately 15 years old.

PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan became the winningest coach in the the team's history of the playoffs following Monday night's Game 4 victory over the New York Rangers. Pittsburgh's 7-2 victory gave Coach Sullivan his 44th career playoff win as coach of the Penguins, surpassing former Stanley Cup champion coach Dan Bylsma. Sullivan took over the coaching duties in December of 2015 and helped guide the Penguins to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Oklahoma City police have released body camera footage of officers rescuingover 30 dogs from the back of a U-Haul truck in scorching June heat. On June 5, OKC officers were called to a Walmart parking lot after staff noticed a U-Haul parked in the middle of a hot afternoon that sounded and smelt like it was full of animals. Officers had to cut off a lock to access the inside of the U-Haul trailer.

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — A Cambria County beverage distributor and a Somerset County bar are celebrating a successful partnership for a nationwide Halloween fundraising campaign. Throughout the month of October, the co-owners of New National Hotel & Bar, Robert and Leigh Snyder, held various events and drink specials at their bar in Berlin to raise money for the Coors Light fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. On Wednesday, Inco Beverage announced that the promotion raised a local record $12,500 for the campaign.

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — When news broke that Coney Island in Cincinnati would close for good in December of 2023, many in the Tri-State were devastated, but Adam Woltermann decided to take action, in an effort to preserve at least part of the historic park. "I don't know," said Woltermann. "I like to keep things interesting and it was a cool, fun, unique piece." The Silver Bullet water slide, built in 1945, was set for demolition, along with the rest of Sunlite Pool - that is, until Woltermann stepped in.
