(WHP) — The police officers who shot and killed a man wanted on rape and assault charges in December were found justified in their use of force, the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office announced Friday. Westmoreland Co. contractor accused of defrauding customers of over $250K, authorities say

Authorities say a Westmoreland County contractor is behind bars, accused of defrauding customers, in multiple area counties, of over $250,000 in home improvement services.
According to the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Department, 41-year-old Jason Pirl, of Scottdale, was taken into custody Tuesday morning following a weeks-long investigation.
Investigators say Pirl is accused of defrauding customers in Westmoreland, Fayette and Somerset counties.
Authorities say Pirl was believed to be living out of his vehicle in order to try and evade capture.

Vinyl records used to be the top-selling format for music. Throughout the 1980s, vinyl sales plummeted as other formats rose in popularity. But in the digital age, the century-old format's is making a comeback.
In fact, data from the Recording Industry Association of America's 2022 revenue report shows the number of vinyls sold increasing for the past 16 years, especially spiking in 2021 after the pandemic.

A Cook County judge reportedly found Whitley Temple was not guilty of attempted murder, as well as not guilty by reason of insanity of aggravated battery to a police officer, vehicular hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Temple allegedly stole officer Edward Poppish’s police car in 2022 before driving over and dragging him with it, later crashing three miles awa.
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Altoona police are searching for two men they said burglarized up to seven bars in the area.
Police said the burglaries happened from Sept. 12 until Oct. 14.
Authorities said the suspects are two white men wearing hats, hoods, glasses and gloves. They were seen on surveillance video targeting cash registers, electronic game machines, dartboard machines and cigarette machines.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say a South Fork man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
Police say officers were notified of the alleged assaults earlier this month after the victim reported being sexually assaulted by 19-year-old William Douglas.
Investigators say the victim recalled multiple incidents where she was reportedly assaulted by Douglas and "forced" to engage in sexual activity.
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers and Pro Bowl kicker Chris Boswell have agreed to a new five-year contract that will keep him in black and gold through the 2022 season.
Boswell was entering the final season of his current deal and was scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the year.
The Steelers initially signed Boswell following an open tryout in October 2015. He has become one of the best in the league over the last three seasons despite kicking in the tricky winds at Heinz Field.
