CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — For most of 2020 we stayed at home but things have started to slowly open back up including a new business in Johnstown. The building itself has been a part of the city for 60 years, but when it went up for sale two brothers bought it and added so much more. Chris Hogue and his brother thought the former Richland Lanes was right up their alley and have turned it into 814 Lanes and Games.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A charity golf outing, and mini-golf bar crawl, is coming to Johnstown to raise money for military members and their families. The "Special Operations Cup" is a modified-scramble style golf tournament, with proceeds going toward the Special Forces Foundation, a non profit that supports green berets and their families, as well as Gold Star families, which are families that lost a loved one while serving in the military.

Cambria County senior citizens came together for a one stop event for health and well-being. State Representative Frank Burns hosted his annual senior fair Friday at Bottle Works in Johnstown. More than 30 vendors were there providing information on various services and state-related programs, including healthcare, tax and rent rebates as well as unclaimed property. Burns said, “A lot of what’s on their minds is getting their REAL IDs, through our office, and getting the state department to help them with various issues.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The suspect accused of shooting two people last September at Oakhurst homes, killing one of them and wounding the other, appeared in Cambria County court on Tuesday where he waived his preliminary hearing. In October, Jashon Gordon was arrested in Ohio in connection to the Sept. 22 shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Emerald Nugent Jr. Officials say Nugent died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Lance Ross lived and died at The Freight Station in Johnstown. "This was his favorite place. I know this is somewhere he would want everyone to gather together." That's what his daughter, Brittany Wolfhope, told 6 News about the popular bar/restaurant that her dad brought to life. "He was really a kind, generous man. He really just wanted to help out anyone he could. He didn't have a lot to give, but he gave whatever he had,"
