ATLANTA (AP) — The ex-wife of R&B singer Usher is calling to drain Georgia's largest lake, where her son was fatally injured 11 years ago.
Fashion designer Tameka Foster has collected more than 2,500 signatures for her online petition imploring officials to "drain, clean, and restore" Lake Sidney Lanier, to allow for safety improvements and the removal of hazardous debris and other obstructions.
Kile Glover, her 11-year-old son with Bounce TV founder Ryan Glover, died in July 2012 after a personal watercraft struck the boy as he floated in an inner tube on the lake.
CEDAR CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A woman was charged with felony manslaughter after police said she admitted to delivering fentanyl to a woman who died of an overdose shortly after.
Officials arrived at a hotel room in Cedar City, where they said the woman was found with Narcan beside her along with what appeared to be blue fentanyl pills and evidence that it had been smoked.
First responders said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
SOMERSET – Winter weather affected many people who were using the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday. Those traveling on the turnpike likely ran into extensive delays and road closures.
The eastbound and westbound lanes were both closed Monday -- at different times -- for short periods due to tractor trailers jackknifing.

PITTSBURGH (TND) — A man and a woman were killed in a house explosion in the Pittsburgh-area Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports. The explosion occurred in Crescent Township, which is located in Allegheny County, shortly before 9 a.m. Crescent Township Fire Chief Andrew Tomer spoke during a news briefing. According to WTAE, Tomer described it as "a very significant explosion." "You could feel it in your chest," he reportedly said.
The Johnstown area commemorated a park this weekend in honor of a paramedic who died while on duty.
Janice Keen-Livingston was killed in 2015 while helping those involved in an accident on an icy morning on Menoher Boulevard in Upper Yoder Township.
Plans for the park have been in the works since October 2015 for the Janice Keen-Livingston Memorial Park at the corner of Chandler Avenue and Garfield Street in the West End section of Johnstown, but have only now come to fruition.

NORTHERN CAMBRIA, Pa (WJAC) — There will be a nonpartisan voter registration event at Contres Greer Social Hall in Northern Cambria Saturday.
Organizers say volunteers will be available to assist people in registering to vote and to help those wanting to change parties.
They say they will also help with applications for absentee and main-in ballots.
The event runs from noon to 4 p.m.
Monday, October 19 is the last day to register to vote for the upcoming election.
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — The Salvation Army in Altoona has been preparing all this week to feed 200 to 300 community members a Thanksgiving meal this weekend.
And organizers want you to know you are invited to the dinner.
Volunteers are preparing 14 20-pound turkeys, along with various side dishes to make the meal complete.
Organizers say the dinner is open to anyone for a time of fellowship, connecting with one another and enjoying good conversation.
