RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — A school in Cambria County is raising money to build a special needs playground for the community to use.
Officials at Pressley Ridge Day School Johnstown say there's no other playground to meet the needs of many kids in the area and they want to change that.
It’s going to be custom built on the grounds of the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center.
Because of its special features, it could cost $200,000.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WJLA) — A woman claiming to be the wife of a suspended police officer in Maryland is speaking out after a viral video showed the uniformed officer embracing another woman in the parking lot of a park.
In the video of Prince George’s County Officer Francesco Marlett, which now has millions of views, children can be heard playing in the background.
After an embrace, Officer Marlett and the woman climb into the back seat of the marked police car anddisappear behind heavily tinted windows.
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The founders of Families United for Change were out Friday morning placing black ribbons along Allegheny Street in Hollidaysburg, at the Circle of Hope, in Tuckahoe Park, in Altoona, and downtown Altoona.
The purpose of the black bows is to raise awareness for drug addiction and to honor those that have been lost to the disease.

DUBOIS — Former Pittsburgh Steelers player Jon Kolb made a visit to DuBois.
He served as the grand marshall for the Community Days Firemen's Parade, on June 15.
Kolb played offensive lineman for the Steelers from 1969 to 1981. He helped Pittsburgh win four Super Bowl titles.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — In March of 1993, just north of Bellefonte along Route 550 near Interstate 80, police found the body of a 17-year-old runaway from Maine.
The man convicted of her murder, a truck driver, has been in state prison ever since.
But now a state court ruling may bring him back for a new trial in Centre County.
The victim was Dawn Birnbaum, and her body was discovered in a snow drift along a highway on ramp for the Bellefonte Exit of I-99.
